Hollis-Brookline hires Patrick Gendron as head football coach

Hollis-Brookline high school has hired former Westford Academy coach Patrick Gendron as the school’s new head football coach.

Gendron was the most recently an assistant at North Middlesex High School for the past three seasons and was the head coach at Westford Academy from 2017 to 2021.

Gendron is replacing Milt Robinson who served as the interim head coach last season. The Cavaliers went 0-9 after a tumultuous off-season in which former coach John Trisciani, who was hired last winter, left the program in the spring.

Hollis-Brookline won a state title in 2019 but it has been a steady decline since. The program has struggled with numbers so Gendron’s first order of business will be to increase participation.

Gendron is a graduate of Westford Academy, Class of 2005. He played football at Westford and at Bridgewater State University. He works as a physical education teacher at Westford Academy.

Gendron is a terrific hire and he will inject some life into a football program that desperately needs it.
