Millis High School has hired former NIPMUC coach Shawn Hill as the program’s new coach. Hill, a Millis alumnus takes over for former coach Bob Martellio who recently stepped away from the program.

Hill spent five seasons at NIPMUC and led the Warriors to the Division 5 Super Bowl in 2018. He turned a small co-op program into one of the best small school programs in the state during his time at the school.

Hill is no stranger to Millis. He played in the program under the legendary Ernie Richards and he coached with both Dave Sparandio and Martellio during the Fall II season.

He is looking forward to taking over at his alma mater. 

“I am happy to be back in Millis, coaching my hometown program. I look forward to meeting the kids and giving coaching them when the time comes.” 

The Mohawks finished last season 4-6. After starting the season 4-0, they dropped six straight including a 20-15 playoff loss to Cathedral.

Millis is scheduled to open the 2025 season on September 12th versus Blackstone-Millville.
