DEDHAM — BB&N is rolling along and earned a 35-0 win over Nobles Saturday. BB&N is now 5-0 and looks as good as anyone in the Independent School League. Milton Academy may have something to say about that, but those two programs are playing at a high level. Let’s look a little closer at BB&N’s win over Nobles.
— More playmakers are stepping up for BB&N. Freshman running back Bo MacCormack has had a terrific season for the Knights, but Saturday saw more players move to the forefront. Both Isaiah Kacyvenski and Ronan Hanafin had punt returns for touchdowns for BB&N. Hanafin also caught a long touchdown pass from his brother, Shane Hanafin. The Knights can beat you in a lot of different ways.
— The BB&N defense continues to be stifling. Nobles could not gain much offense Saturday. Linebacker Tyler Martin is one of the best defensive players in New England, but the Knights have more than just him. Jake Berglund had three sacks for the Knights, and BB&N was just a wall up front. As good as the Knights are on offense, they may just be as good on the other side of the ball.
— Nobles has some players to watch going forward. The Bulldogs were a little undersized compared to BB&N, which hurt them. Still, there are some players worth keeping an eye on for Nobles. Running back/wide receiver Joey Duggan is an impressive player who had 80 yards rushing in the loss. Fellow back and linebacker Brayden Phinney is a sophomore with a bright future.
