High School: Week 4 Massachusetts Top 25 Poll

Our top team in the state, Catholic Memorial, flexed its muscles with a dominant, out-of-state win over Bishop Hendricken of Rhode Island. Franklin made a huge statement with a decisive win over Mansfield. Other than that, not a ton of movement in the top 10. We’ll see what happens with another big week of games coming.

2. Everett (3-0) — Bye week before Lynn Classical.

3. St. John’s Prep (4-0) — Took down a young B-R team.

4. Xaverian (3-1) — Getting better each week.

5. Central Catholic (3-1) — Defense keeps improving.

6. Springfield Central (2-2) — Offense clicked despite no William Watson.

  1. Lincoln-Sudbury (3-0) —Dominated Fitchburg.

8. Reading (4-0) — Big one next with Woburn.

9. Milford (4-0) — Gets Mansfield next.

10. Franklin (4-0) — Huge win over Mansfield.

11. Marblehead (4-0) — Unbeaten Masconomet coming up.

12. Mansfield (3-1) — Hornets still a contender in Div. 2.

13. Barnstable (3-1) — Outlasted a tough Durfee team.

14. Duxbury (2-1) — A week of rest.

15. Marshfield (3-1) — Handled a good La Salle (RI) team.

16. Natick (3-1) — Offense had punch vs. Brockton.

17. Grafton (4-0) — Another week, another big win for this team.

18. Scituate (3-1) — Has not allowed a point since Duxbury loss.

19. Wachusett (3-1) — Really starting to play well.

20. Foxboro (3-1) — Offense racking up points.

21. King Philip (3-1) — Beat an improved Taunton team.

22. St. John’s (S) (2-2) — No problems with Malden Catholic.

23. St. Mary’s (4-0) — Beat Bishops Feehan and Fenwick in back-to-back weeks.

24. Northbridge (4-0) — Has shined against a tough schedule so far.

25. Billerica (4-0) — Getting it done on both sides of the ball.
