Former St. John’s Shrewsbury standout and Michigan Wolverine Eamonn Dennis announced on Tuesday that he is transferring to Ohio University to play for the Bobcats.
Dennis made the announcement on social media.
The 5-10 188 pound Dennis is a Worcester native. He capped off a prolific high school career where he was a star wide receiver and defensive back for the Pioneers by committing to Michigan.
While at Michigan, he played predominantly special teams, appearing in 26 games the last two years.
Now Dennis is hoping to get the opportunity to show what he can do as a receiver and give himself a possible opportunity to play professionally.
Dennis also held offers from UMass, Nevada, UTEP, Western Kentucky, Miami of Ohio San Jose State, Arkansas State, Buffalo and Ohio. He ultimately chose the Bobcats.
