Duane Sigsbury is stepping down as the head football coach at Billerica. Sigsbury is stepping away due to family. He wants to watch his son play college football.

Sigsbury complied a 76-41 record  and won five league titles in 11 seasons, including three in a row from 2021 to 2023. 

Sigsbury came to Billerica after a successful stint as an offensive coordinator and head coach at Cathedral High School where he won a Super Bowl. 

Sigsbury will stay at the school as a physical education teacher. He has not said whether or not he will coach again. 

The expectation is that several assistants on staff will apply for the job. The position is expected to be posted in the next two to four weeks.
