If you thought you were excited for the game, you aren’t nearly as excited as the town of Dracut is.
So much so, that the School Committee will ‘officially’ vote on Friday at 3:30 to change the district’s name to ‘Drakeut Public Schools’ and ‘Drakeut High School,’ in honor of Drake Maye and Super Bowl LX on Sunday.
“We are excited to vote on a temporary name change for Dracut Public Schools and Dracut High School,” said School Committee Chair Renee Young. “A subcommittee met with students on Wednesday afternoon and they could not have been more excited about supporting the Patriots in a very public way. This is a fun opportunity for our entire school community to show its support for the New England Patriots and Drake Maye as they battle for another Super Bowl victory.”
While the move is only temporary, it’s a sign of just how invested the entire region is for another Super Bowl involving the Patriots (and hopefully a 7th ring) this Sunday.
