With just one game left in the regular season in Connecticut, teams are furiously jockeying for playoff position.
There was minimal movement in the Top 10 this week, although St. Joseph did bump up to No. 3 following their 24-12 win over Wilton.
Here are this week’s rankings.
1. New Canaan (9-0): Another week, another blowout win for New Canaan, as they took care of Trumbull, 42-13. They close the regular season hosting Darien on Thanksgiving Day.
2. Killingly (8-0): Killingly is one game away from a perfect regular season. The Trailblazers picked up another dominant win, defeating Waterford 63-28 this past week. They’ve scored 60+ points in each of their last three games. They host Woodstock Academy on Thanksgiving morning.
3. St. Joseph (7-2): The Cadets have played as tough a schedule as any team in the state, and they picked up another big win, 24-12 over Wilton to vault No. 5 to No. 3. They are at Trumbull on Thanksgiving Day to finish the regular season.
4. Hand (8-1): Since its Week 5 28-27 loss to Cheshire, Hand has gone 4-0 with back-to-back wins over Fairfield Prep and West Haven. They host the Guilford Grizzlies next Wednesday, November 26, at 6:00 p.m. for its regular season finale.
5. Greenwich (7-2): All but one of the Cardinals’ wins this season have come by double digits, including last week’s 35-14 win over Darien. They will host Staples on Thanksgiving morning.
6. Wilton (8-1): Wilton dropped three spots after suffering its first loss of the season, with a 24-12 loss to St. Joseph. This Wilton team is still one of the top teams in the state, defeating the likes of Cheshire, Ludlowe, Staples, and Greenwich.
7. Fairfield Prep (7-2): The Jesuits bounced back from a 20-17 loss to Hand by easily taking care of Law, 35-14. They are at Xavier on Nov. 25 to close the regular season.
8. New Britain (8-1): New Britain’s the only team in the state whose regular season is already over. It ended last Friday with a 68-30 shootout road win at Manchester. They currently sit as the No. 2 seed in the CIAC Class LL bracket.
9. Berlin (9-0): The Redcoats’ defense is a juggernaut, having held seven of their nine opponents to single digits, including a pair of shutouts. They beat E.O. Smith, 49-7, last week, and are at Middletown on Friday.
10. Newtown (8-1): Since starting the season 1-2 with losses to New Canaan and Windsor, Newton has gone 7-0, which includes three shutouts. They most recently defeated Notre Dame-Prep 55-22. They host Masuk on November 26 at 6:00 p.m.

13. Southington (6-3): Southington is on a roll. They picked up their fourth consecutive win in thrilling fashion, 35-34 in overtime over Maloney last week. They have a big game to wrap up the regular season, hosting Cheshire on Thanksgiving morning.

16. Darien (6-3): Darien suffered a 35-14 loss to Greenwich this past Friday, suffering its third loss of the season. Still a team that is one of the best in the state, Darien drops a few spots after other teams have made cases to jump ahead. They face New Canaan on the road on Thanksgiving morning.
17. Fairfield Ludlowe (6-3): The Falcons picked up their biggest win of the season, 28-21 over Staples last week, snapping a two-game skid in the process. They are at Warde on Thanksgiving morning.
