Hard to believe there’s just four weeks left in the college football regular season for our 17 New England teams.
Following Week 9, some familiar names and a few new ones make an appearance this week…
Grayson Saunier was nearly perfect in Dartmouth’s 49-3 blowout win against Columbia. Saunier went 12-13 for 162 yards and a touchdown. Saunier also had three rushing touchdowns and 55 yards on six attempts. D.J. Crowther had a big role in the win too with 103 yards on 13 carries. DUDES!
Xaviah Bascon had himself a big day, helping Harvard stay unbeaten with a win over Princeton. Bascon led the way with 13 carries, 101 yards and a TD. The Crimson rushed for 269 yards as a team on the ground. Isaiah Bullock added 59 yards on seven carries with a touchdown. DUDES!
Yale has three dudes this week after an impressive win over Penn. Dante Reno (16-22, 211, 3 TDs) and running back Josh Pitsenberger (22/145/1 TD) were the catalysts for the offense. Nico Brown also caught eight balls for 121 yards and two touchdowns. DUDES!
Maine continued to roll with a fourth straight win and it wasn’t by accident. Carter Peevy was 24-34 with 260 yards and two touchdowns. Rashawn Marshall was a problem on the ground in a big win over Elon, racking up 141 yards on 15 carries with a TD. DUDES!
When you put up over 500 yards of offense like UNH did last week in a win over William & Mary, you definitely have a few dudes. Matt Vezza went 17-23 for 280 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 99 rushing yards on 15 carries. Myles Thomason had 130 yards on 21 carries with a touchdown. Caleb Burke racked up 163 yards receiving on six catches with two touchdowns. DUDES!
UConn had a bad loss to Rice, but quarterback Joe Fagnano continued rolling, going 32-48 with 344 yards and three touchdowns. His star receiver Skyler Bell went off again too, catching eight passes for 158 yards. DUDES!
In a brutal double OT loss to Cornell despite leading in the final minute, Brown got a remarkable day from QB James Murphy. Murphy went 30-46 for 468 yards and two touchdowns. Ty Pezza was the biggest beneficiary with nine catches for 172 yards and two touchdowns. DUDES!
BC had another loss in a disappointing season, but Grayson James was very, very good for the Eagles. James – while battling through an injury – was 23-46 for 244 yards with three touchdowns. DUDE!
A rare kicker ‘dude’ this week. Garth White set a new record distance on a made field goal in another win for URI. His 54-yard field goal overtook Colin Gallagher’s 51-yarder from 2005. DUDE!
