We have reached the last need for the Patriots ahead of tonight’s NFL Draft and it is cornerback. The Patriots have done a great job of developing the position in the Belichick era particularly in the middle rounds and with priority free agents. They have had some whiffs as well (Ras-I Dowling, Terrance Wheatley, Jonathan Wilhite come to mind) but overall, Bill Belichick and his defensive staff develop cornerbacks better……

The Patriots signed free agent Ju-Ju Smith-Schuster to a three year deal this off-season to replace Jakobi Meyers who departed in free agency. On paper, the Patriots have enough depth at the position with Smith-Schuster, DeVante Parker, Kendrick Bourne, TyQuan Thornton, Lynn Bowden and Tre Nixon.
