UMass has been all over the country in the first two weeks building a 1-1 record. First was out to the Southwest in an opening win over New Mexico State. Then, over to the Southeast in a loss to Auburn. Now, the team is back in Amherst for Saturday’s game with Miami of Ohio, and coach Don Brown is happy for that. “It’s good to be home,” Brown said simply……
The CAA had its Football Coaches weekly press conference Monday morning after an exciting opening weekend. We were able to talk with Maine coach Jordan Stevens, UNH coach Rick Santos, and URI coach Jim Fleming. Maine is coming off a 14-12 loss to Florida International, while UNH beat Stonehill, 51-17, and URI lost to Georgia State, 42-35. Here are some excerpts from those interviews.
