Breaking down Springfield Central’s 2025 Schedule

Springfield Central is poised to make another run in Division 1. Bill Watson’s squad returns a talented offense led by quarterback Jareth Staine and running back Isaiah Rogers. The additions of linebacker Chris Sanchez and wide receiver Isaiah Fabulas makes an already talented team even better.

The return of former head coach Vladamar Brower as defensive coordinator was already a big addition this off-season.

Here is the breakdown of Springfield’s 2025 schedule.

9/5 @ St. John’s Prep:  A stiff test right out of the gate against one the other top contenders in Division 1. A lot of star power in this game both on the field and on the sideline.

9/19 @ Mansfield: Great match up on paper. Mansfield returns a senior heavy team and they could give Springfield Central fits. The question is, can Mansfield hang with the Eagles.

9/26 @Xaverian: These two teams have a well documented history recently both during the regular season and in the playoffs. Style of play will be a focal point in this match up. SC is going to have to pack their big boy pads.

10/3: Westfield: Home opener for the Golden Eagles against a Westfield team that is well coached, especially on defense. Getting off to a good start will be key coming off of three physical and tough game.

10/10: @ Longmeadow: Back on the road to take on a Longmeadow team that won six of their last seven games last season.

10/17: @ East Longmeadow: Another road game against a East Longmeadow team that went 6-5 last season and didn’t play SC.

10/24: Minnechaug: Springfield Central beat Minnechaug 54-13 last season. This Western, Mass rivalry has been lopsided of late.

10/31: West Springfield: Coming off a 10 win season, West Springfield could be a tough match up on Halloween. The Terriers did graduate a lot.
