Catholic Memorial will once again play one of the more challenge conference slates in the state and they are playing two out of state games as well. John DiBiaso hopes that these early games challenge his team and get them ready for the Catholic Conference grind.

Here is our look at the Knights schedule.

9/6: @ St. Thomas Aquinas: The Knights kick off the season in New Jersey against a St. Thomas team that went 8-3 last season.

9:20: @ St. Francis: The two teams were suppose to play two years ago but St. Francis cancelled the game due to a sickness that had made a bunch of players sick. The game is back on.

9/26: Nashoba Valley Tech: I give Tech Coach Danny Kelly credit for playing this game.

10/3 @ Brockton: It is nice to see Brockton adding another Catholic School power to their schedule. The Boxers are talented and could give the Knights some problems early on.

10/10: Malden Catholic: MC has a revamped coaching staff but also has some talent returning. They could give the Knights some problems early in this game.

10/17: @ Xaverian: The Hawks have had the Knights on the ropes in each of the last two years and come up short. Is this the year? Expect another battle.

10/24: St. John’s Shrewsbury: The Pioneers will be better but they not quite there yet.

11/1: @ St. John’s Prep: The Knights blew out the Eagles last season. Expect Brian St. Pierre’s team to come out fired up for this one. Especially if the Catholic Conference is on the line.

11/27: @ B.C High: Last year’s game was a battle for three quarters. Expect more of the same this time around.

Final Thoughts: The Knights will once again be the favorites in Division 2. The conference schedule is challenging once again and the two out of state games will be tough, but Catholic Memorial returns a talented group that is poised and experienced and ready to handle the pressure that comes with being the best team in the state.
