Former Milford and UMass quarterback Brady Olson announced on Monday evening that he is committing to Central Connecticut State University. Olson entered the portal at the end of last month, looking for an opportunity to compete for a starting job, the right fit academically and a place close to home. He believes he found that school in Central Connecticut State.
“CCSU was close to home which is always a big thing for me with my family being able to come watch me play. The staff has been great. Very welcoming and I liked what they were building with the talent they were developing/recruiting.”

Coming off of a 3-8 season under first year coach Adam Lechtenberg, the Blue Devils are looking to take the next step and stablity at quarterback would go a long way in ensuring that the program is heading in the right direction.
Olson is looking forward to competing for the job. Despite being a transfer, he does not expect to be handed anything.
“One of the first conversations I had was I needed to earn my spot, which is what everyone should have to do. Nothing should be given to you everything is earned.”
Olson is looking forward to a new challenge at Central Connecticut State. He is excited to be done with the recruiting process and he is looking forward to getting started.
“The feeling of being committed is a relieving one for sure and I am definitely excited to get to work!”
Olson starts his journey at CCSU begins this spring. He will plenty of competition to be the starting quarterback but as we have learned about Olson in the past, he will step and rise to the challenge.
