It has been a banner week at Tabor Academy, as Boston College offered five Seawolves players.
The five players are Hugo Djeumeni, Amahn Williams, Kaiden Drinkwater, Jacob Burns, and Botond Varga. All five players also hold UMass offers.
Djeumeni is a 6-foot, 190-pound running back in the 2025 class from Canada. Williams is a 6-4.5, 260-pound offensive lineman in the 2026 class from Randolph. Drinkwater is a 6-0.5, 180-pound wide receiver in the 2027 class from Leominster. Burns is a 6-6.5, 285-pound offensive tackle in the 2027 class from Canada. Botond Varga is a 6-7, 295-pound offensive tackle in the 2027 class from Hungary.
“It’s really good for the kids to put in all this work, and to see that doing the small thing right every single day can lead to the bigger picture,” first-year Tabor coach Jeff Moore said.
Moore offered a quick scouting report on each player.
Djeumeni: “He’s got an incredibly strong base, and he’s got elite balance, and he has a second gear that, if he’s in the open field, he’s gone.”
Williams: “Amahn’s playing offensive line for the first time this year. He’s got elite athleticism, great flexibility, and very good change of direction. He’s still learning a ton. He’s still very raw. His ceiling is super, super high. But he’s very coachable, incredibly athletic. A really good kid.”
Drinkwater: “Kaiden is, I think, the best wide receiver in New England. He’s got elite ball skills. He’s got very, very good technique. Does a great job getting off the line of scrimmage. He’s got incredible hands. He’s got a tremendous, tremendous work ethic. He’s got really good body control.”
Burns: “Jacob is very powerful. He’s got strong hands. He’s got good feet, and he’s got a very good understanding of what to do at the line of scrimmage. And he’s got elite length, obviously.”
Varga: “Botond, elite length. Incredibly high motor. He’s very fast, and plays really hard.”
