Boston College football has secured its quarterback for the class of 2027, as three-star prospect Ben Rolapp announced his commitment to the Eagles. The Brunswick School signal-caller finalized his decision shortly after concluding an official visit to Chestnut Hill, marking a major addition to head coach Bill O’Brien’s building recruiting class.

The recruiting process between Boston College and Rolapp moved at a rapid pace. The Eagles’ coaching staff had been keeping an eye on the in-state New England product, but things accelerated dramatically after Rolapp performed at BC’s Under the Lights camp. O’Brien and quarterbacks coach Jonathan DiBiaso evaluated the 6-foot-2, 215-pound passer in person, monitoring his physical mechanics and arm strength. Impressed by what they saw, the staff extended an offer on the spot. Rolapp quickly scheduled his official visit for the following weekend, and the trip solidified his choice to join the Eagles over nearly twenty other Division I offers, including UConn, Tulane, and Miami of Ohio.

Rolapp brings a highly efficient and productive resume to the Eagles’ future quarterback room. Before transferring to the Brunswick School in Greenwich, Connecticut, and reclassifying to the 2027 class, he put up massive numbers as a sophomore at Darien High School. During that 2024 season, he threw for 2,587 yards and 30 touchdowns while adding 530 yards and 13 scores on the ground. He followed that up with a strong 2025 campaign at Brunswick, throwing for 2,268 yards and 20 touchdowns with an impressive 67.5% completion rate.

Rolapp is an intelligent, dual-threat quarterback with an exceptionally quick, natural release and great pocket awareness. He excels at navigating pressure, shifting from the rush while keeping his eyes downfield, and delivering accurate throws both from a stable pocket and on the move. Off the field, Rolapp also has deep athletic roots; he is a multi-sport athlete who has played lacrosse, and he is the son of PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp, who previously spent over two decades as a high-level executive for the NFL.

By locking in Rolapp, Boston College secures a homegrown, high-upside quarterback to headline their 2027 offensive class, continuing a heavy wave of recruiting momentum for Bill O’Brien’s program.
