BC wraps up final OV weekend with more good news

What a way to end a very successful June.

Boston College wrapped up the NCAA official visit window this past weekend and it was the same old story.

You may have seen the massive #CommitToBillO’Brien trend going around on X lately and it feels like that’s not just a hashtag, it’s a legitimate selling point for national recruits and they’re believing in it.

The Eagles got three more commits on Sunday and Monday, two 2025’s and one 2026.

The 2026 was California QB Corin Berry. Berry is from Charter Oaks High School and had just two offers (Arkansas and BC) but after a visit to Chestnut Hill, he was all in, siting O’Brien and the staff specifically as the reason why he chose to join the program even though he’s only a junior. At 6’3′ 185lbs. a Quick Look at his Hull film shows athleticism, speed, a strong arm and some pretty damn good accuracy. In the world of the portal this could easily mean nothing and Berry could end up somewhere else in the next two years, but for now, it’s another national guy buying in to the new regime.

The two 2025’s that committed this weekend are DB Charleston Coldon from Belleville, IL (Althoff HS) was here this weekend. The 6’1″ 190lb., speedy DB announced it on social media around 3:30 on Sunday after BC hosted its final weekend of OV’s before the window closes.

“Home!!!!” was the caption in his post to X. Coldon’s gotten some looks from some big name programs and should certainly add athletisicm and playmaking ability. Currently, before committing, Coldon held offers from BC, Ball State, Illinois State, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas State, Louisville and Miami of Ohio with some interest from North Dakota State as well.I’m hoping to have some thoughts and reasons behind the decision from Coldon tonight or Monday morning.

Lastly, on Monday, Dawson Pough (WR from Virginia) committed on Monday morning. Pough is listed at 6’1 195lbs. and had 934 yards with 11 TD’s last season for Tuscarora High School. Pough had offers from Duke, Buffalo, Delaware, East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Howard, Liberty, Kent State, ODU, Pitt, Temple, Tuskegee, UVA, Indiana and Vanderbilt, along with the Eagles’ offer.
