The story on the South Shore this season has been the play of the Hanover Hawks. They started the season with a massive, 28-18 win over Duxbury. Now at 5-0, Hanover is rolling and looking like a state title contender in D5. What a week, as Catholic Memorial’s 41-38 win over Xaverian Friday night highlighted the top games of the weekend. The Huskies went on the road Saturday and earned a 38-31 victory over Rice in a game where they fell behind early. But UConn fought back, took the lead, and held on to it. For much of the Jeff Hafley Era at Boston College, the Eagles have had a running game that is, well, underwhelming. But Saturday against Army, BC found that elusive ground attack. Behind a dominant rushing effort, BC earned a 27-24 win over Army, to even its record at 3-3. The loss drops Army to 2-3.
