The Massachusetts Pirates put on a clinic at Wells Fargo Arena on last night, dismantling the Iowa Barnstormers, 66-35. With the win, the Pirates’ won their third consecutive game and had their highest point total of the 2025 season.

While Iowa’s Jalen Bracey managed to snag a 33-yard touchdown reception, it was clear the Pirates’ offense was operating on another level.
The second quarter continued the Massachusetts surge. Despite a 2-yard touchdown run by Iowa’s Quian Williams and a later 1-yard run by Jalen Bracey, the Pirates responded emphatically. While the Barnstormers showed some life with an 11-yard touchdown reception by Quian Williams and a 6-yard touchdown catch by Jalen Bracey, coupled with a two-point conversion, the damage was already done.
The Pirates’ defense played a crucial role throughout the game, highlighted by Matt Elam’s interception and a forced fumble by Marquis Waters, recovered by Terry Beckner, that set up Steven McBride’s first touchdown of the season – a 5-yard run that sealed the 66-35 blow out.
The victory not only extended the Pirates’ winning streak but also marked their first-ever win at Wells Fargo Arena. Tom Menes squad is clicking on all cylinders and will look to continue the momentum next Saturday when they host the Tulsa Oilers at Tsongas Arena.
