So, what does a guy who’s already committed to the most well-known local D1 program look for when visiting again?
Dominic Funke – the big edge at Xaverian who has one year left with the Hawks – was back on campus last weekend along with 13 other players from the class of 2026 taking official visits.
Funke had some of the biggest programs in the country knocking on his door, but he’s decided to commit to Bill O’Brien and everything that’s going on in Chestnut Hill right now. His latest visit only confirmed what he’s already known since locking in his commitment back in January.
BC is home.
“I had an awesome OV to BC this weekend. Really felt at home,” he said. “The coaches welcomed me and are very excited to get me there. It was great to get a glimpse of what my college experience will be like. I was given so much information about what BC has to offer and how I can leave an impact on this team in the future.
“I enjoyed hanging with players and other recruits. Overall, I feel very at home at BC and I am very happy to be committed there. It feels like the right fit for me.”
Funke is just one of many local guys continuing to join the renaissance that seems to be taking place over at BC.
