NEFJ: When did you start playing football?
JC: “I started playing football in the sixth grade. My mom was always hesitant because she was a pediatric physical therapist and dealt with a lot of patients with brain damage. My brother and I eventually won that battle and we started the same year. He was in eighth grade and I was in sixth”
NEFJ: What do you love about the game of football?
JC: “I love everything about the game of football; everything that comes with it. It is my life and I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
NEFJ: What made you decide to commit to Boston College? Why was it the right school for you?
JC: “Boston College has always been a special place. I have loved it from the second I stepped on campus my freshman year of high school. The people truly make the place and the guys in that locker have always and will always be a very special group of men that create and continue to build on such a great culture. Best decision of my life.”
NEFJ: How much has Boston College prepared you for the opportunity to play in the NFL?
JC: “Boston college has prepared me more than I could have ever imagined. I have been so fortunate to have three awesome head coaches and a bunch of amazing assistant coaches like Coach Applebaum who has a ton of NFL experience.”
NEFJ: When you are not playing football or doing anything football related, what do you like to do off the field?
JC: “Off the field, I love being outdoors. My favorite things are fishing and golfing. I just want to be outside as much as I can be.”
NEFJ: What is your favorite pregame meal and hype song?
JC: “I am really simple. Just a bunch of carbs and protein. Easily digestible foods that are great fuel for game day.”
NEFJ: What is an NFL team getting in you if they draft or sign you?
JC: “When an NFL team hopefully drafts me, they are getting everything I have. I am a very loyal person and there is nothing I wouldn’t do for my guys when I’m in that room. They will get everything out of me.”
