2.Teams are always seeking offensive line help, specifically at the offensive tackle position, Rhode Island’s Jacob Otts and Brown’s Hayden Bozich are both long, lean tackles that can play the right and left side respectively. Both have generated a lot of interest in the portal market. Otts has offers from Middle Tennessee State, Kent State, Georgia State, San Diego State, ODU, Akron, Nevada and UMass.
Bozich has also generated a lot of interest as a grad transfer with offers from UConn, ODU, Bowling Green, Middle Tennessee State and Western Michigan.
Both figure to decide where they will be committing soon but in the meantime, expect more offers.
3.Harvard has a slew of grad transfers in the portal. One of the more popular names is offensive lineman Austin Gentle. The 6-3 295 pound Gentle can play guard or center. He holds portal offers from UMass, FAU, JMU, Middle Tennessee State, Memphis, North Texas, UAB, Miami of Ohio, ODU, Western Michigan, Coastal Carolina, UTEP and Buffalo.
4.Worcester, Massachusetts native and former UMass product Kofi Asare also entered the portal earlier this week. The 6-5 250 pound Asare is already generating interest. He is long, lean and athletic. An explosive athlete. Asare has some good football ahead of him. He holds offers from Washington State, South Florida, Georgia State and Virginia thus far.
5.Still waiting on several local portal prospects to make commitment announcements specifically former Brown cornerback Isaiah Reed who several offers and recently visited Texas Tech. Reed was one of the top defensive players in all of FCS college football the past two seasons.
6.Several Boston College players, specifically defensive players have entered the portal. Among them are safeties Cole Batson, Jalen Cheek and Khalil Ali, linebacker Sione Hala, wide receivers Jerand Bradley and Montrell Wade, cornerback Ryan Turner and offensive lineman Illija Krajnovic. It will be interesting to see how much interest they generate in the portal. All of these players are good enough to land somewhere and contribute.
7.UConn also saw several players enter the portal in the past two weeks. The most entrant is running back Durrell Robinson. On3 Sports is projecting him as being committed to Auburn but as of this post, we cannot confirm that.
