Top 16 Division 1 College Poll for Week 6

We had a big shake up in the poll this week with a couple of teams making major jumps.

Here is this week’s poll.

1. Rhode Island (4-1): Rams epic comeback win over Hampton vaults them to the top spot. Governors Cup match up against Brown is on tap for Saturday.

2. Boston College (4-2): Eagles drop one spot after tough loss at Virginia. They have a bye this week to recover.

3. UConn (4-2): Huskies make a big jump in the poll after their 29-20 win over Temple. Bye this week before Wake Forest comes to town on October 19th.

4. Harvard (2-1): Crimson bounce back with a big win Friday night against UNH. A trip to Cornell on Saturday is next.

5. Dartmouth (3-0): Big win over Penn sets up an early season showdown at Yale on Saturday.

6. New Hampshire (3-2): After a disappointing loss to Harvard, the Wildcats will look to return to form on Saturday at Elon.

7. Yale (2-1): Bulldogs at home against CCSU. Big test on Saturday when Dartmouth comes to New Haven.

8. Maine (3-2): Black Bears return to action this week with a tough test at Delaware.

9. Brown (2-1): Bears drop a few spots after shootout loss to Bryant. They hit the road this week when they visit Rhode Island in the annual Governor’s Cup game.

10. CCSU (2-3): Another tight loss, this time to Yale keeps the Blue Devils in the top ten. They host Mercyhurst on Saturday.

11. Holy Cross (2-4): Crusaders bounce back by crushing Colgate 38-7. Host winless Fordham on Saturday.

12. Bryant (2-3): Bulldogs make a big jump after stunning Brown on Saturday. Bryant returns home this week to host Albany.

13. Sacred Heart (3-3): Pios bounce back with 10-6 win over Norfolk State. They travel to Howard this week.

14. Stonehill (1-3): Tough 28-7 home loss to Wagner. Skyhawks visit winless Long Island this week.

15. Merrimack (1-4): Warriors travel to Morgan State after a bye week.

16. UMass (1-5): Played tough against Northern Illinois but gave up 21 points in the fourth quarter in a 34-20 loss. It gets much harder this week when Missouri comes to town.
