1ST QTR

  1. Jacoby Brissett appears to be getting the start for the Patriots. see how long he plays.
  2. Lowe, Sow, Andrews, Onwenu and Chuks upfront to start.
  3. Starting with the perimeter screen early. In our game plan, I talked about using perimeter screens in this game.
  4. Three and out. Not a good start.
  5. Let’s see what the defense can do here. Favorable field position to work with.
  6. Eagles aren’t playing starters. Kenny Pickett gets the start. Preseason. Got to love it.
  7. Pats get the three and out on defense. Good start for the defense.
  8. Brissett back out for a second series.
  9. The boot leg game is going to be good to this team this year.
  10. Duo and split zone are going to be bread and butter running plays for the Patriots.
  11. Philly is playing some starters on defense.
  12. The commitment to the ground game is impressive by AVP.
  13. And Brissett force sand up a fleas ass and gets picked by Avante Maddox. 47 yard return. An absolute killer decision.
  14. Pickett with an RPO. It is something he does well.
  15. Philadelphia threw the ball well in joint practices and they have continued to throw with some success here but the drive stalled.

JAKE ELLIOTT 42 YARD FIELD: EAGLES 3 PATRIOTS 0 3;04 LEFT IN THE FIRST.

  1. Offensive line cannot hold up and the Patriots are forced to punt.

  2. Offense needs to stay out of long downs. Simply don’t have the playmakers to make chunk plays consistently.

  3. Patriots bring six, Uche gets the sack. There is another sign that they will be aggressive this season.

  1. Drake and Bake time! Here we gooooooo…..!!!!!!

  3. Lowe and behold, we have a false start.

  4. Nice ball there on the dig route there by Maye.

  5. AVP comes back with the boot and Maye hits Wilcox and gets the 15 on RTP.

  6. I like going empty and giving the kid a chance to take the easy out cut.

  7. Insert lead is the bane of my existence.

  8. Nice drive getting the first but the drive stalls. Still, I will take what we saw out of Maye.

SLYE 51 YD FIELD GOAL: EAGLES 3 PATRIOTS 3 with 11:01 left in the first half.

  1. Good first drive for Drake. AVP did a good job of changing his launch angle by moving the pocket and throwing the ball out of 3 and 5 step. I like the fact that they went empty too. Give the kid a chance to read the quick or hot and throw it.

10.  Keion White with a 12 yard sack. Mr. Red Sleeves who???

  1. Not quite sure why the Eagles went for it there but it worked out for the Patriots.

  2. Ja’Lynn doing the “Polka” there. Nice play. Followed up by a big Harris run.

  3. Nice call there by AVP. Clear with the trips and brought Hasty over on an H-Screen.

  4. Drake scores his first NFL rushing touchdown on a zone read to the Y/U side. Good call AVP.

  5. Nice call by AVP. Set up well by running weak IZ and duo. Shift the back to the Y/U side, read it and pulled it. Love that they have the kid the green light. 10-3 Pats

PATRIOTS 10 EAGLES 3: 4yard touchdown run by Maye.

HALFTIME: PATRIOTS 10 EAGLES 3: Slow start but Drake gave them life leading two good drives. He should play into the third. Let the kid get into a rhythm and get comfortable.

3RD QTR

1.Tush push my…..never mind. Pats take over on downs at their 37. Drake back out there.

  1. Great ball by Maye there on third down. It is a tough catch but Baker has to make that catch.

  2. Uche still in this game. Good to get the extra reps. Also good for Mayo to make his point. Fight at practice and there are consequences.

  3. Patriots take over on downs and Drake is back out there.

  4. Nolan Smith comes on the blitz and buries Maye. Sacked for the first time and he felt it.

  5. Former Patriots great Will Grier in the game now. Bet you forgot he was on the Patriots.

  6. Joe Milton warming up. It appears that we will not see Bailey Zappe tonight.

4th QTR

  1. Patriots defense holds again and forces the field goal.

Machine Gun Milton drives the Patriots down the field for a field goal. 45 yard kick by Joey Slye makes 13-6 Patriots with 10:05 left in this game.
