Yale announced their incoming recruiting class on Thursday. They had their current players announce a player at their position on Twitter. If you get a chance, check it out. It was well done. Tony Reno and his staff once again did a great job recruiting nationally. They landed some talented players from some of the top high school programs in the country. Here is the complete list of the 27 players who have committed to Yale and some thoughts on the class.

Thoughts: The Bulldogs did well in Connecticut once again getting a commitment from three impact players in Cooper Austin, (Loomis-Chaffee) Jesse Schutzman (Brunswick School) and Lukas Witt (Cheshire Academy). All three should develop into impact players sooner than later.
Offensively, the Bulldogs fortified the offensive line by adding some new blood. The same can be said at wide receiver where Yale got bigger with the additions of Donovan McKoy who is 6-5 and Brice June who is 6-3. I really like quarterback Aidan Warner out of Winter Park High School in Florida. He’s 6-3 205. He has developing arm strength and show athleticism in and out of the pocket. Reminds me a little of the guy who announced his commitment.

Improving the pass rush was a priority and the Bulldogs added five talented pass rushers with length in James Cave, Jaylin Tate, Spencer Mermans, Babawale Fadeyibi and Zairion Jackson-Bass.
The secondary was also an area of emphasis and the Bulldogs were able to add some length and athleticism with Brandon Webster out of St. Ignatius in Cleveland, John Kemp who played at St. Ignatius College Prep in Illinois, Abu Kamara, (Interboro High School (PA) and Phoenix Grant (Gunter High School, Sherman, TX)
All four fit today’s mold at corner and can play outside or in the slot. It was another solid class for the defending Ivy League champs.
