NFL: 5 Thoughts On the Divisional Round Playoffs

The divisional round playoff games did not disappoint, especially Sunday’s game. Here are five thoughts on this past weekend’s games.

1. I can’t say I am surprised that the Eagles found a way to beat the Falcons. Atlanta lacks that championship edge. They weren’t going to win a playoff game away from home.

2. The Patriots got off to a sluggish start against Tennessee but shook off the doldrums and dominated a Titans team that was overmatched.

3. So much for Blake Bortles being garbage huh? The Jags not beat the Steelers but Bortles muzzled his critics. For now anyway.

4. The Stefon Diggs walk off touchdown catch is the craziest play I have ever seen in an NFL game. I don’t think people realize how long it is going to take the Saints to get over losing a game like that.

5. I get Saints free safety Marcus Williams was trying to keep Diggs inbounds but he took a horrible angle and didn’t make the tackle. Williams is saying all the right things after the fact but that whiff will haunt him for a long time.
