Head coach Bill O’Brien and his staff have had a June recruiting surge that has propelled the 2027 recruiting class into one of the top classes in the ACC. The Eagles recently went on a massive tear, securing six commitments in a single week alone following a critical official visit weekend on campus.

The program has strategically prioritized both regional anchors and a highly active national footprint, leaning heavily into defensive back hybrids and positional size.

Here is the comprehensive breakdown of the prospects who have committed to Chestnut Hill for the Class of 2027.

Ben Rolapp (QB | 6’2″, 215 lbs | The Brunswick School – Greenwich, CT)

The centerpiece of the recent June surge, Rolapp committed shortly after throwing live for Bill O’Brien at camp. He boasts a physical frame, 18 Division I offers, and represents a massive localized win at the game’s most important position.

Jackson Tucker (S | 6’2″, 195 lbs | Catholic Memorial – West Roxbury, MA)

A foundational piece of the class, Tucker was the first to pledge all the way back in October 2024, locking down one of the state’s premium homegrown defensive talents.

Zahir Mitchell (ATH | 5’11″, 180 lbs | Milton Academy – Milton, MA)

Another vital in-state playmaker, Mitchell brings excellent versatility to the roster as a dynamic athlete capable of lining up across multiple positions.

Hawken Anderson (IOL | 6’4″, 320 lbs | Suffield Academy – Suffield, CT)

A massive interior presence with deeply rooted program ties, Hawken is the son of BC offensive line coach Kurt Anderson, helping to anchor the future protection up front.

The June Recruiting Surge

Following a crucial weekend of official visits in early June, the Eagles picked up immediate, high-impact momentum from a variety of out-of-state talent:

Samajai Davis (CB | 6’2″, 170 lbs | Arlington – Arlington, TX)

An absolute speed merchant and All-American track runner who clocks a 4.51 40-yard dash, Davis brings ideal length and elite recovery speed to the secondary.

Franklon Evans (ATH | 6’2″, 190 lbs | Lake Highlands – Dallas, TX)

Part of a dual-prospect Texas haul, Evans is a physical athlete who can project seamlessly into multiple defensive back or hybrid wide receiver roles.

Charlie Fowler (TE | 6’6″, 224 lbs | Loyola Academy – Wilmette, IL)

A massive target who gives the Eagles the prototypical frame they look for at the tight end spot, Fowler committed alongside his high school teammate Will Mettee.

Alex Johnson (EDGE | 6’4″, 225 lbs | Catawba Ridge – Fort Mill, SC)

A consensus three-star pass rusher who brings great length and flexibility off the edge to boost the future front seven.

Elijah Goins (ATH | 6’1″, 180 lbs | Dakota – Macomb, MI)

Another versatile athlete added to the fold who can change gears quickly and provides excellent roster flexibility.

Defensive Back

Bill O’Brien has placed an immense premium on building a long, fast, and versatile secondary for the future:

Mamadee Sangaray (LB/S | 6’1″, 200 lbs | Iona Prep – New Rochelle, NY)

The quintessential modern hybrid defender, Sangaray has the size to play in the box and the fluidity to cover tight ends in space.

Jett Watson (CB | 5’11″, 160 lbs | Grayson – Loganville, GA)

Hailing from a premier Georgia high school football powerhouse, Watson brings elite instincts and refined technical traits to the cornerback room.

Front Seven

Will Mettee (LB | 6’1.5″, 223 lbs | Loyola Academy – Wilmette, IL)

A stout, downhill linebacker who plays with a high motor and excellent diagnostic skills against the run.

Blaize Battaglia (LB | 6’1″, 210 lbs | Milton – Milton, GA)

Another key SEC-country pull, Battaglia adds lateral quickness and sideline-to-sideline pursuit capability to the linebacker corps.

Armani Hill (WR | 6’2″, 178 lbs | Creekside – Fairburn, GA)

A long-limbed, deep-threat wideout who provides the passing game with an explosive vertical element.

Magnus Talma (WR | 6’0″, 170 lbs | Bishop Moore Catholic – Orlando, FL)

A smooth route-runner out of Florida with great spatial awareness, rounding out the pass-catching additions.
