
The Patriots are opening the 2026 season in Seattle in a Super Bowl LX rematch against the Seahawks.
It is the first time since 2016 that two teams that matched up in the Super Bowl are opening the next season. That game featured the Panthers visiting the Broncos.
Seattle beat the Patriots 29-13 in a dominate performance by the Seahawks defense. Spoiling Seattle’s Super Bowl celebration and getting revenge will be on the mind of Patriots fans but this game is more about getting a win and starting the season off right.
The Patriots are a much improved team after fortifying the offensive and defensive lines and adding to their skill group. The anticipated addition of A.J Brown at wide receiver should also help.
After going 14-3 last season, the Patriots face a more daunting schedule this season. New England has the sixth toughest schedule in the league.
The full Patriots schedule will be released on Thursday. We already know the Patriots are traveling to Germany on November 15th to take on the Detroit Lions.
