The Joe Harasymiak Era got off to a rough start, but the Minutemen have a ton of turnover and there’s a quiet confidence among the program that things are in fact getting better,
Not only did UMass open up spring practice on Tuesday, but the full 2026 schedule was also unveiled. A sign that the page has truly been turned.
Here’s how the schedule shakes out:
Thursday, Sept. 3 at Rutgers
Saturday, Sept. 12 vs. Sacred Heart
Saturday, Sept. 19 vs. Stonehill
Saturday, Sept. 26 at Sacramento State*
Saturday, Oct. 3 vs. Eastern Michigan*
Saturday, Oct. 10 vs. Miami (OH)*
Saturday, Oct. 17 at Buffalo*
Saturday, Oct. 24 at UConn
Wednesday, Nov. 4 vs. Ball State*
Wednesday, Nov. 11 at Toledo*
Wednesday, Nov. 18 vs. Akron*
Saturday, Nov. 28 at Bowling Green*
The games with the * next to them are the MAC games for the Minutemen this season. It’s a tough start with Big 10 Rutgers on the road to open up, but winnable games against Sacred Heart and Stonehill follow to hopefully get UMass off on the right foot heading into MACtion.
Great to see the rivalry with UConn is being renewed again this year too. Regardless of how both teams are, it’s always going to be a great week of trash talking among the fan bases.
Two Wednesday night MACtion games in Amherst the final four weeks…hopefully they’re meaningful ones. That’d be a phenomenal atmosphere at McGuirk if they are indeed for something.
