5 Key Match-Ups in the Patriots, Cowboys game

The Patriots face a stiff test against the Dallas Cowboys. It will be a tough game to match up on both sides of the ball. Dallas has a lot of high end talent. Needless to say, New England will have a tough time matching up

Here are five match ups to keep an eye on.

1. Micah Parsons vs. Trent Brown- Parsons lines up on the weakside a lot so he will be matched up against Trent Briwn a fair amount. Brown has played well thus far this season but he will have his hands full with Parsons, especially off the snap.

2. Front Seven vs. Tony Pollard- Pollard is a dangerous running back because of his speed but it is also his cut back ability. The front seven needs to be fundamentally sound and they cannot over pursue because if they do, it will be a problem for the Patriots.

3. Christian Gonzalez vs. CeeDee Lamb- Gonzalez has the size and the speed to match up with Lamb. I think we will see the two match up a fair amount in this game. Dallas will move him around and Gonzalez will travel with him, especially in man coverage calls.

4. Patriots safeties vs. Dallas tight ends- Dallas targets their tight ends a lot so look for the Patriots safeties to be under the microscope a lot in this game. Matching in man to man especially in the red zone will be key for the Patriots.

5. Michael Onwenu vs. DeMarcus Lawrence- Big time interior match up. Onwenu hasn’t been great thus far this season but he is still good enough to match up against Lawrence when he kicks inside in obvious passing situations.
