3-Step Slant: Three Reasons Why Jay Cutler Will Suck as a Broadcaster

By John Sarianides

Former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has officially retired and has been hired by FOX as an in game broadcaster. Cutler will more than likely replace John Lynch as Kevin Burkhardt’s partner. That is a shame because Burkhardt is good and Cutler has the personality of a dead squirrel. Burkhardt deserves a partner with a pulse.

Here are three reasons why I think Cutler will suck as an analyst.

1. He’s Boring: Jay Cutler has no personality. Broadcasting is a business that is based on personality. Isn’t that why CBS hired Tony Romo? They hired Romo because he has personality and occasionally flashes his trademark smirk. Cutler has no personality and makes dumb faces! He doesn’t have a go to smirk. Moral of the story. He sucks! Cutler will drain the life out of a great partner in Kevin Burkhardt. It is a shame.

2. He Has no Friends Around the League: No one likes Cutler. He has no friends around the league that would share Intel with him. He is an introverted weirdo. Yet another reason why FOX hiring him makes zero sense. Hire someone that actually still has friends around the league that are willing to share information on the down low.

3. He is a Diva: Jay Cutler and his reality T.V wife Kristen Cavallari are divas. By all accounts, both are difficult to work with and get along with. Now poor Kevin Burkhardt is going to be saddled with having to placate Cutler so that he could get more out of him on the air. I feel bad for the poor bastard.

Hiring Jay Cutler to do T.V is like electing Donald Trump President. Wait….Never mind. You get my drift.
