2017 NFL Draft: Mock Draft 3.0

By John Sarianides

Alright kiddos. Here is my third of five mock drafts. To quote Trump: Enjoy!

1. Cleveland Browns: Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M: After an impressive pro day, Garrett is even more of a lock as the number one overall pick.

2. San Francisco 49ers: Jamal Adams, S, LSU: The Niners would trade this pick if the right offer came along. If not. They’ll take the versatile Adams.

3. Chicago Bears: Marshon Lattimore, CB, Ohio State: The Bears like Adams. If the Niners take him, they’ll settle on the number one corner on the board.

4. Jacksonville Jaguars: Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU: Fournette’s impressive pro day only reaffirmed that Coughlin will take him with this pick.

5. Tennessee Titans: Solomon Thomas, DE, Stanford: Thomas gives Dick LeBeau a versatile piece to play with along with the defensive line.

6. New York Jets: Mitchell Trubisky, QB, North Carolina: In my last mock, I had the Jets taking Watson. I’m back on the Trubisky bandwagon.

7. Los Angeles Chargers: Malik Hooker, FS, Ohio State: Hooker hasn’t been able to workout in this pre-draft season but there is plenty on film and that makes him a top ten pick.

8. Carolina Panthers: Jonathan Allen, DT, Alabama: The Panthers could go in another direction with this pick but they’ll take the best player available in Allen.

9. Cincinnati Bengals: Reuben Foster, ILB, Alabama: The Bengals have an opening at middle linebacker and Foster can fill it.

10. Buffalo Bills: Mike Williams, WR, Clemson: The Bills need a complement to Sammy Watkins. Williams gives the Bills some much needed size on the outside.

11. New Orleans Saints: Derek Barnett, DE, Tennessee: The Saints need to bolster their pass rush desperately. Barnett fills that need.

12. Cleveland Browns: Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson: Hue Jackson loves Watson and wants to draft him. The Browns will get him here.

13. Arizona Cardinals: Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan: The Cardinals draft the heir apparent to Fitz.

14. Indianapolis Colts: Garrett Bolles, OT, Utah: Bolles is the best tackle in the class and should solidify what is still a suspect offensive line.

15. Philadelphia Eagles: Christian McCaffery, RB, Stanford: Doug Pedersen will have a lot of fun coming up with ways to use McCaffery.

16. Baltimore Ravens: John Ross, WR, Washington: The Ravens love flyers at wide receiver. Ross is a flyer.

17. Washington Redskins: Haason Reddick, OLB, Temple: Reddick is a Swiss Army knife who can do a lot of different things within a defensive scheme.

18. Tennessee Titans: O.J Howard, TE, Alabama: Howard gives Marcus Mariota a much needed number one option in the passing game.

19. Tampa Bay Bucs: Cam Robinson, OT, Alabama: The Bucs need to fortify their offensive line. How about a blind side protector like Robinson. That ought to do it.

20. Denver Broncos: Forrest Lamp, OG, Western Kentucky: Lamp has been climbing up teams draft boards. John Elway knows that so he’ll grab him with this pick.

21. Detroit Lions: Taco Charlton, DE, Michigan: The Lions will go local with Charlton to address their need at defensive end.

22. Miami Dolphins: Jabril Peppers, S, Michigan: Peppers can do a lot of different things within a defensive scheme. The Dolphins need an impact player on the back end and Peppers will fill that need.

23. New York Giants: David Njoku, TE, Miami (Fla): The Giants will add another weapon to an already loaded offense.

24. Oakland Raiders: Gareon Conley, CB, Ohio State: The Raiders need to replace D.J Hayden and Conley will do that. He has the length the Raiders like in their cornerbacks.

25. Houston Texans: Ryan Ramcyzk, OT, Wisconsin: The Texans need a right tackle with Derek Newton’s career in jeopardy. Ramcyzk could step in and fill that void.

26. Seattle Seahawks: Kevin King, CB, Washington: King was the forgotten man in Washington’s loaded secondary last season. Not anymore. He is a long, lean corner who is an ideal fit in the Seahawks defense.

27. Kansas City Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes, Texas Tech: Mahomes is not a first rounder in my opinion but Andy Reid loves him and that’s all that matters.

28. Dallas Cowboys: Tre’Davious White, CB, LSU: White fills what is a gapping hole in the Cowboys secondary.

29. Green Bay Packers: Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama: The Packers need to fortify a secondary that was beyond suspect last season. Humphrey allows them to do that.

30. Pittsburgh Steelers: T.J Watt, OLB, Wisconsin: The Steelers need a complement to Bud Dupree. Watt is relentless and has a motor that runs hot. He is the ideal fit in the Steelers 3-4 defense.

31. Atlanta Falcons: Charles Harris, DE, Missouri: The Falcons need a young pass rusher who can play opposite Vic Beasley. Harris would be that guy.

32. New Orleans Saints: Adoree Jackson, CB, USC: The Saints would love to swap this pick for Malcolm Butler. If not. They’ll draft the versatile Jackson.
