With the draft a week away, here are our team needs for each team.
Dallas Cowboys: CB, DT, WR, QB
Needs Breakdown: People keep talking about Tony Romo’s replacement but this team multiple needs. The cash strapped Cowboys need to find a starting corner and defensive tackle in this draft. They also need another wide receiver to go with Dez Bryant, Terrance Williams and Cole Beasley. Wentz and Goff will be gone by pick four. The Cowboys should target day two to grab a quarterback.
New York Giants: WR, OG, FS, RB
Needs Breakdown: The Giants filled many of the holes they have defensively in free agency. That being said, they still do have other areas they need to address, namely wide receiver and offensive guard. The Giants need a third receiver and a starting guard. They can also use a free safety who can play opposite Landon Collins. Finding a young running back who could potentially start down the road should also be addressed in this draft.
Philadelphia Eagles: RB, OG, DE/OLB, QB
Needs Breakdown: The Eagles traded up to the number two pick this afternoon in order to draft a quarterback. The likely pick will be Carson Wentz out of North Dakota State. The Eagles did give up a third and fourth round pick in this draft as well in the deal with the Browns. They won’t have as many picks but the Eagles still have a second round pick, which they could use on a running back or defensive end. The Eagles will sit out most of day two but they will be able to add depth in day three.
Washington Redskins: DE, CB, WR, OC
Needs Breakdown: The Redskins need a 3-4, five technique defensive end. If they can’t get the player they want in the first round, then they should go nose tackle. Baylor’s Andrew Billings should be available at pick 21. The Skins also need to address the cornerback position. They need either a starting caliber corner or a slot corner. Wide receiver and center are also positions that the Redskins need to address. GM Scot McCloghan likes to build from the inside out so expect the Skins to address both the offensive and defensive lines.
