Harvard Four Down Preview: Harvard Crimson (2-1) at Cornell Big Red (2-1)

Kickoff: The Crimson will look to bounce back after last week’s loss to Holy Cross. The Crimson have two in a row against the Big Red although the last time they were in Ithaca was 2018 and the Big Red won that meeting 28-24.

Four Downs ( Four keys to the game.)

1st Down: Get off to a good start: Harvard did that against Brown but not Merrimack and Holy Cross last week. Getting off to a good start is must tonight. They cannot allow Cornell to hang around.

2nd Down: Defense must be better: The defense has been disappointing of late. They need to play better and it starts tonight. This unit is too talented to be underachieving the way they are. This Cornell can score so they cannot fall asleep at the wheel even with a lead.

3rd Down: Play Harvard football offensively: The Crimson need to get back to running the football and being physical. One of the way to help the defense is to keep them off the field. Ball control with Aidan Borguet is key.

4th Down: Four quarter effort: This team needs to play a complete game tonight. They have yet to do it this season. If this team is going to stay in the Ivy League title hunt, they need to be more consistent.

Extra Point: Cornell is 2-10 against the Crimson in their last twelve meetings.

Final Drive: Cornell can score points so they’ll present a good challenge for the Crimson defense. Despite that, I think offense rules the night and the Crimson will pick up win number three.
