The CAA announced yesterday that they will play a six game schedule in the Spring of 2021. Schools will have the option to also pick up two non conference games.
The conference will be split up into a North and South divisional format. All six league games will be against teams within the division.
The team with the best conference record will be the conference’s automatic qualifier to the NCAA Football Championship.
The season is set to begin on March 6th and conclude on April 17th. Each team will receive a bye week. In essence, the schools will be playing through spring ball which is usually in that time frame.
The non-conference games that are scheduled will not count towards a team’s conference record. With several FCS conferences opting out of the fall, CAA should have no problem picking up an additional two games.
